who reads la ilaha illallah sincerely because of Allah, so be down and out from the sins. Because, the tale was from shahabat told:

من قال لا اله الا الله خــالصا من قلبه ومدتها با التعظيم غفر له اربعة آلاف ذنب من الكــــبار.

“who reads la ilaha illallah sincerely because of Allah, and also make long “لا” intendly for esteem (exalting to Allah SWT), so, their sins which is for about four thousend, will be absolved by Allah.”[1]

وعن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم انه قال لقّنوا موتاكم لا اله الا الله فانها تهدم الذنوب هدما قالوا يا رسول الله فان قال في حياته قال هي اهدم واهدم.[2]

“Prophet Muhammad shallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: catechize your goner with la ilaha illallah, so, it will make down and out some of the sins truely. The prophet’s close friends asked to Prophet Muhammad: the example, if the sentence la ilaha illallah is said when still alive and still healthy, how will it be? Prophet Muhammad said: it is a lot better for making down and out the sins when still alive and still healthy.”
